The True Beginning

This obviously is the beginning of a new adventure in my life. I am excited and somewhat optimistic about the process of starting my own blog. It may quickly become a big part of my life, or to be honest, it will most likely become like most things in my life, mostly left to deteriorate in the dark. I will try extremely hard to keep up to date with this and improve my posts and writing abilities as the days go on. I will mostly be taking the time to write about the randomness of my life and the things that affect me day to day. I will tell you now that what I post on this blog with be true, honest, and straight forward. In short, like it or not, I speak the truth.

For instance, this morning I spent most of my time googleing (not real sure how to spell that) "emo kids", "scene kids", and the genres of music that these freaks listen to. Before today I had no idea what a scene kid was, but it turns out that a multitude of the kids I see around town are at least some sort of scene kid. I suggest you look them up and either cringe at the sights or giggle at their absurdity.

It was only after my searching through these sights and descriptions that I realized my intense desire to somehow transport an old school high school bully through time to beat on these social disasters. You know what I mean, the all American jock with the flat-top hair cut (which my brother and I both rocked for a bit of time and my mom freaked out about when done incorrectly) and hidden family issues who mercilessly beat down all the "nerds" in the school, but alas, my desires will go unfulfilled. It appears as though these freaks have somehow become dare I say the real cool kids in their schools. I see them everywhere, they are on tv, in movies, music, literature. When did this emo revolution take place and where were these bullies to keep them in check. I am wholly disappointed in today's hard ass school bullies.

Moving on, I am a bit ashamed to admit that I tend to enjoy some of the music that these freaks also love. One such genre that I learned about today is called "Crunkcore". I also suggest that you google this if you are interested, but the gist of it is a mix of hip hop, emo, and kids somewhat screaming known as screamo. Most of the sites that go into depth on this style of music online pretty much trash it as crap music, and if I were listening to it in a critical sense I would definitely agree. However, I cant help but love it, it is a guilty pleasure for sure, in much the same way as terrible movies like The Last Dragon or Lets Go to Prison are guilty pleasures as well. So with this being said some of the bands that are associated with this music are Brokencyde, 3oh!3, and Millionaires. I completely expect everyone else to absolutely hate any and all of these bands, but as I said they are guilty pleasures and it is what it is.

I think this should do for a good start to what will be taking place here from time to time. As it turns out, my life is currently both seemingly the least and most complicated that it has ever been, which I find lends itself to all sorts of opportunities for writing and events to write about. Thanks for reading.
